”D-DAY COMBAT KNIFE”

Indian repro of D-Day Combat Knife. Tip of Lebel blade attached to handle, with british scabbard.

Seller: These are STEEL reproductions of the extremely rare emergency issue cruciform bladed fighting knives used by Free French and other Allied troops during the second part of 1944.

Originally using a 6.5" blade section from a French 1886 Lebel bayonet mounted on an all steel knurled no-slip hilt. Issued in slightly modified British #4 spike bayonet scabbards the originals of this model are now very rare.

(They are very rare because they are fantasy.)
