M19/M22 DRESS KNIFE

German import M19/M22 Dress knives, designed by Axel Gallen-Kallela in 1919.

2 models: long bladed officer knife, short bladed NCO knife.

4 makers cofirmed (so far!)

I think these predate finnish models, as the long bladed officer model was replaced by sword in M/22 uniforms, and German design looks very much like original M19.

Unmarked german M22 in curved scabbard. Based on a collector data, maker is Solingen E. & F.Hörster.

Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie (Germany) in finnish-type curved scabbard.

Alex Coppel, Solingen in straight German combat knife scabbard.
