German ersatz bayonet fitted with finnish guard. Blade shortened to 10,5 inches and narrowed to fit in a finnish scabbard. (Would fit without narrowing.)
Mortise slot has not been modified, so this does not fit finnish MN rifles.
Standard Arisaka bayonet and scabbard very skilfully shortened, and puukko-type false edge added.
Except for non-shortened guard, this M28 is identical to M28-based M42’s.
Even blade grinding is very neat and professional. M42 prototype or variant? Forgery? Ersatz M39?
